Rennie Mackintosh Hall Chair

Few designers of the past have managed to create such a unique and individual style that their work and influence is still instantly recognized today . Charles Rennie Mackintosh originally designed this chair for the Ingram Street Tea Rooms in his home town of Glasgow around 1900, and an original is in the Design Museum in London.

My version is designed to be used as a statement piece in a hallway or reception room, as much to be admired as sat on. It is finished in a high gloss black lacquer to accent the designs sharp lines and the seat features his eponymous rose design.
